Antique Persian Tabriz Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: 1920 – True to the Tabriz design, this gorgeous Persian rug uses softer colors to create a natural flow. Gold frames and patterns surround a black border and within the background of the largest border, several gold leaves and stems dance along, almost as if carried by a wind. Despite the whimsy of their movements, they are all connected by a network of elegantly flowing vines and stems. At the core of the rug is a collection of bright gold floral motifs, all floating around a large mandala at the very center of the work.
