Beautiful and Impressive Dragon Design Antique Turkish Rug by Tuduc, Country of Origin: Turkey, Circa Date: 1910 – Standing out starkly from a background of burnt rust orange, rich black forms thick, jagged outlines of two diamonds with curving sides over this antique Turkish rug which was woven by the iconic Tuduc . Light accents form birds and small, simply styled flowers within the dark space. A flame-like design of sunny yellow spills overtop the side-by-side figures, which meet in the center below a white ornament. Green, blue and white accents form stylized trees and floral shapes, filling every last corner of the antique rug’s vivid central field. A stout border encloses the piece, backed in white with solid shapes outlined in black forming a beautifully repeating motif of orange, yellow and blue flowers.
