Polychrome borders complement the oxidized blue-green field, which features an archetypal pomegranate pattern with angular branches and harmonious parallel symmetry. Detailed pomegranate fruits decorated with individual seeds woven in a combination of red and oxidized orange represent one of Khotan’s most iconic designs and prosperity symbols.
